What this policy covers

This policy applies to the publicly available pages and features on this site, including DJ Percy when that feature is available. It does not cover separate privacy notices or agreements that may apply to other logged-in or client-only products.

Personal data we collect and process

• Information you submit. If you use DJ Percy, we process the message text you send and the drum pattern or sequencer state you submit with that request.
• Generated outputs and run records. We store DJ Percy run records in our database, which can include your submitted message, model outputs, status information, usage or performance metadata, and step-level processing records used to operate and review the service.
• Technical and device data. Like most sites, our infrastructure may process information such as IP address, request metadata, browser type, and similar technical data for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention.
• Browser storage. DJ Percy may store your current pattern in your browser's localStorage so it persists between visits. You can clear that data through your browser settings.

How DJ Percy works

When you use DJ Percy, the text you submit and the current pattern data are sent to OpenAI so the assistant can generate a reply and, where configured, apply automated safety or input checks. We also store the run in our database hosted on Turso, with the database hosted in Ireland.

Why we use personal data

We use personal data to operate the site, provide DJ Percy, store and retrieve conversation history, secure the service, prevent abuse, investigate errors, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations where required.

Lawful bases for processing

Depending on the context, we process personal data because it is necessary to provide the service you ask us to provide, because it is in our legitimate interests to run, secure, and improve the site, and because some processing may be necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Automated safety checks

Messages sent to DJ Percy may be evaluated by automated guardrails or safety systems. If a message cannot be processed, you may receive a generic error or refusal instead of a model reply.

Where data is stored and processed

DJ Percy run records are stored in our Turso/libSQL database hosted in Ireland. Some data may also be processed by service providers outside Ireland, the UK, or the EEA, including by OpenAI and its infrastructure providers, depending on how their services operate.

Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers that help us run the site. This includes OpenAI for AI model processing and Turso for database hosting and storage. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, debugging, abuse prevention, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. We do not promise a fixed retention period for DJ Percy messages on this page, because retention can depend on operational needs, incident review, and backup cycles.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal data, ask for correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or request portability where the law provides those rights. To make a request, email dan@gilliganbuilds.online. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, or under any higher minimum age required by local law, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children in that age group.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date at the top of the page.
